Had it 10 months now and love it.February 2, 2010 E. Wilkie(US) This little computer has been just great. I am a pretty average Mom, and it's been everything I've needed. I can store my pictures and music on it, do all the things I want online, and help with the kids homework. The size is great, I can bring it with to kids lessons and practices and it isn't heavy or clunky like some laptops. The webcam on it is great for skype, and it is easy to use. It has been tossed and dropped. The only thing that has broken is a little plastic piece that chipped off the top, and other than being a bit beaten up looking it takes a ton of wear and tear.
Poor quality productJanuary 28, 2010 N Mendez(Dallas, TX USA) I am beyond frustrated with Asus. I have had my net book in three times for an internal powersurge issue (hardware related) since August of 2009, only one month after purchasing it. For the first service, they literally didn't do anything but turn it on, and it didn't happen. I gave very specific instructions on what made it surge (which they requested), which is essentially any movement at all on the laptop, an example being if you pick it up to move it. The problem has never been fixed in spite of the additional two times I have sent it in since. They keep telling me there is not a problem, or they will replace something that doesn't fix the issue. I will NEVER buy another Asus again. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWEFUL! It is unfortunate that I have to write this review, but I am exhausted and frustrated. I should have known better buying an Asus. I have already bought a Dell net book which has been an excellent product for 2.5mo now. Again the WORST PART ABOUT ASUS IS THE PEOPLE. AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!
extraordinary little machineJanuary 22, 2010 Peter Heine(chicago) exceeded our expectations. the single most amazing quality of this netbook is its battery life, which is just amazing. in real-world use, this netbook can literally be used all day without plugging it in. that is extremely convenient. we also love the quick startup time - it only takes ~30 seconds to completely boot up from a cold start. the keyboard is comfortable, the hard drive is bigger then we expected from a netbook, and we really don't notice any performance issues. would be nice if it had an optical drive, but it's easy enough to connect an external one when needed.

GREAT netbook for the moneyJanuary 20, 2010 K. Springer I really love this little guy, and the keyboard is better than the other netbooks. The only down side I've had with the thing is the touch pad. It's so sensitive, even after turning it down as much as possible, it still grabs and clicks on everything.
Other than that, I'm really glad I took a chance on ASUS.
