Just as the title says I recent reformatted my laptop with windows 7 (32 bit if it makes any difference) and all the function keys seem to work except the volume function keys. Any idea how I can fix this?

I’m looking at these 2 netbooks. which one is the better netbook?

I recently bought an ASUS 1005 PE netbook that supposedly has bluetooth capability. I put my cell phone with bluetooth on discovery mode…but I can’t find the netbook anywhere. I don’t know how to put the netbook into discovery mode and find it on my cell phone either. I looked around the side of the machine to see if there was a button to activate it, but no luck. Seems to be an easy answer once I find it. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Call me an addict, but I need the best. I need a pc case that can accommodate the Asus P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard, 2 ATI Radeon HD 5970s, a soundcard, wireless card, and tv tuner, (those last 3 weren’t specific because I’m not sure what I want yet. 
) “But wait!” you exclaim, “That is a total of 7!” I know, but I also want to use liquid cooling seeing as how I’m going to overclock an intel i7 and the graphics cards. I will need 3 water blocks. This stuff will take up a lot of room, so I’m thinking an external reservoir, that will enter the case with a pci expansion plate. oops, I babble, better to be brief, what is the best case to house all this? I also need room for 5 harddrives. (I’m going to do RAID 1+0) and 2 blu-ray readers and dvd burner/readers. I have problems, I know. What case should I use?
Silly, Bert H, you take me for somebody who minds working on things like this. I can assure you, in no way will high maintenance bother me. I find working on computers to be enjoyable.
TC 422 Sorry for my mistake, I intended to say “External radiator” And the Corsair Obsidian 800D or the Cooler Master HAF X to satisfy the room required.
TC 422, I noticed something in your answer, if you put waterblocks on the card, the bracket is still x2 wide. if the cards are 1 pcie slot apart, that leaves one usable one in the middle, that still has the bracket with vent holes on it, unless is misread your answer. Could I purchase a x1 width bracket to put on in lieu of the x2 wide one?

Glossy Vs Matte: Asus Netbook:?

I know the pros and cons of having a glossy vs matte books. Yes, better contrast and viewing angles for the glossy, while having high reflective surfaces on bright environmental conditions.
However, I think this will depend on a model-to-model basis. Some glossy screen might be less reflective, while some matte may have better contrasts/sharpness to them.
I am planning to get an Asus Netbook (1001 or 1005), and more leaning towards the matte version, however, if contrast/sharpness is much worse than the glossy, I might reconsider. Please, tell me your experiences/opinions if you have one or the other. If you have both, even better.

i want to install a fresh, clean, and less bulky windows XP, but im worried that i may lose some functions of the preinstalled stuff.
can i still use the super hybrid engine and the “f9″ button after installing the drivers after installing a new os?
Will ASUS’ support DVD make 2x 160 Gb partitions if I upgrade my 80 Gb SATA to 320 Gb prior to recovery?

For starters, I have an ASUS Eee PC 1000H, whose hard drive I plan to upgrade.
If I take my 80 Gb SATA now, upgrade it to 320 Gb, and then use the support DVD from ASUS to restore the Eee to it’s original factory conditions (by GHOST32.exe to Windows XP Home, blah blah blah), will I find that there are 40-Gb/34.5-Gb partitions with the rest (roughly 160 Gb) as unpartitioned space? Or will I end up with two, 160-Gb partitions?

Hi I’m looking at buying a Asus eee pc Win. I must have windows so I can use internet explorer to acess the internal website and it’s applications etc for work.
How much space does windows take up on the ‘hard drive’ when the computer arrives? And how much space does XP take up once you have installed the services packs etc?
Tempting as it is to buy the linux version and install window to get the extra memory in my case I don’t think it’s necessary as the only program I will be storing on the computers internal memory is rosetta stone.

I recently bought an asus UL50VT laptop for school in the fall and wanted to know what, if any, wireless mouse I could use that would work for this laptop?
