according to some of the folks I asked there should be a section in the BIOS allows me to do ” jumperless overclock ” but I just cant find it. so I figured it should be done in some other ways….
how ? is there a software of something I should download ? and physical moderfication on the cpu it self ?
I read overclock.net’s guide and my board’s BIOS is different from what’s being said in the thread.
I dont have an option of playing around my CPU’s setting ” manually”. the only things that are in my ” CPU settings ” section are:
VID CMOS setting : 62
max cpu id value limit: disable
cpu interneal thermal control: auto
Hyper threading tech: enable.
on the top of those things are my CPU’s current setting but all texts are darken.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Asus Eee notebook computers. I’m looking at getting a notebook to take to university with me in the fall. I will be using it mostly for taking notes in class and checking email. How easy is it to type on the keyboard? its really small I noticed. Is it worth the money, or should I just pay more for a more functional laptop? I’m drawn to the Asus because or its size. any recommendations? thanks!
I am buying a laptop for gaming this month and I don’t know much about hardware.
I can get an Asus Laptop with Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor Technology at Best Buy for $1250. It has 4GB DDR2 memory, 2.26 GHz, 320GB SATA hard drive (7200 rpm) and a NVidia 9800M GS Graphics Card (512Mb).
Or for $600 more dollars I can get an Asus G50VT-A2 Notebook, it has 4GB DDR2 memory, 2.53GHz, 640gb sata2 7200rpm Hard Drive, a Blu-Ray Reader and a NVidia 9800M GT Graphics Card (512mb).
I wanted to know if the extra $600 is worth the upgrade, or if there is any laptops in between $1200-$1800. Also are these laptops capable of playing top of the line games on high/very high settings, and are they worth getting or are there better notebooks out there? Any help is appriciated.
I’m want to buy a laptop, but don’t know much about them so I would like help to choose one.
I’d like to keep it cheap seeing as we are in a recession, and I am a college student on a budget.
I will mainly be using the laptop to write. Not for school, but my own personal stuff. And I tend to write a lot.
I will also be using it for other basic needs. Storing photos and music, listening to music and watching movies and occasionally going online.
I’d also like it to have a cd/dvd burner and for it to be fast (I hate it when computers get slow when you have more than one program or window open. I do know this unavoidable, but I just don’t want it to be super slow) and not freeze.
These are the ones I’ve been looking at so it would be GREATLY appreciated if I could get some help with this as I am most definitely technologically slow when it comes to this kind of thing.

So this is probably a stupid question, but I cannot figure out how to open the disk trey on this computer. There is no eject or open button next to the trey itself and I can’t find any other way of openiing it! Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help!
I have an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard 1 Gig of ram my RAID set choices are Raid 0, Raid 1, Raid 5, Raid 10, and JBOD I understand that I have to have a Raid Set in order to make the SATA drive work.
the drive will not recognize the SATA drive with out the RAID Set . . . . what am I doing wrong
I don’t know the manufacture of the cables but the are SATA cables I selected JBOD and then the drive was recognized but I want to make sure I am selecting the correct config before I remove the other drive
red cables. . into red connectors on the motherboard ok I am seeing there are 2 different sets of SATA connectors on the motherboard I apperantly have it in the wrong one ???
Which is the best among the three in terms of battery life, performance (WiFi, 3G, 2D gaming) and durability? And which provides more bang for your buck? Oh, and also how about after-sales support?

I have a HP media center pc m7060n. The motherboard died on it. I can’t seem to find where I can buy another one. Everyone keeps telling me I should just buy a new computer, but the hard drive is still good on this computer and it has all my pictures and videos on there still. I hate to just trash the whole computer.
Any ideas?
i have got my desired configuration in asus but people are not recommending it for me because they only know about hp & dell.
